Everyday Makeup Routine + Review!

Hey guys!
Today I thought i would share with you my everyday makeup routine, along with the products I use on a daily basis. I also thought I'd do a review on a product I recently tried out and aboslutely fell in love with, the Ben Nye Translucent Face Powder.

I had never tried out any Ben Nye products before this one, but I had heard amazing things about the Ben Nye Banana Face Powder (courtesy of Dulce Candy).  When I saw my dad's girlfriend had this in her stuff, I decided to try it out, considering the fact that I had forgotten my favourite powder at home. Here's what I think about this product:

- It's super lightweight, and it kept my face matte all day, which is a big plus for me, considering the fact that my T-zone tends to get oily throughout the day.

- It's the best translucent powder I have ever tried, since this is the first one I've used that doesn't make your face look white.  It leaves a natural finish, and sinks in into the skin.

I highly recommend this product! Plus, with the quantity you get in the container, you definatley get what you paid for.

Now, moving on to my everyday face routine:
- Revlon PhotoReady foundation (favourite foundation to wear in the winter!);
- Nyx HD Photogenic concealer ( best concealer I've ever tried.. Can't get enough of this!);
- E.L.F. shimmering facial whip ( I like to apply this highlighter to the bridge of my nose and the tops of my cheekbones.)
- Clinique blush in New Clover (gives a nice colour without being too overwhelming);
- M.A.C. paint pot in Painterly ( as a base for my eyeshadow);
- Smashbox Be Discovered limited edition palette ( I use three of the colours in this palette, those being a neutral beige for the lid, a pearly white as a brow-bone highlight, and a soft brown for the crease and filling in my brows. All the colours, with the exception of the hightlight, are matte);
- Maybelline Rocket Volume Express mascara ( my absolute favourite mascara of the moment!)
- Blistex DCT lip balm (on those days where I don't feel like wearing lipstick, but still want a slight sheen to the lips)

I hope you guys enjoyed this post!

Nail Polish Collection: Essie

Hey guys!
Rose here.  I decided to show you guys my nail polish collection; one brand at a time.  Since I am a nail polish junkie, showing you everything in one blog post would be rather long and boring to read. For the next few weeks, I'll progressively be posting pictures of my collection, through a few different types of posts ( OOTD's, make-up posts, ect. ), to keep it interesting. So today, I'll be showing you all my Essie polishes!

Tart Deco:
This polish is one of my absolute favorites!  It's the perfect S/S color, and I even love wearing it during the winter, to add a pop of brightness on those dull, grey days. This pastel-coral would look amazing with a tan!

Bikini So Teeny:
Ever since this color has showed up on the market, I have been obsessed with it, and once I bought it, I loved it even more.  For almost 3 weeks, it was literally all I ever wore on my nails.  It's the kind of color that suites any kind of skin tone. All in all, this color is definately worth the hype!

Watermelon:
I'll be honest - when I first bought this color, I didn't love it. The first time I wore it on my nails, I thought it wasn't that great, and I kind of regretted having bought it, considering the price.  However, the next few times I wore it, I got a lot of compliments, and I actually ended up liking it! It's perfect for Summer, even Fall!

Recessionista:
This is the polish I go for when I want my nails to look classy and polished, usually for special occasions. It just looks so professional! It's definatley one of my all-time favorites, and I always get compliments on it.

Merino Cool:
I featured this polish in one of my blog posts, about a year ago! It's the perfect color for Fall and Winter,  it's a gorgeous neutral color, so it pretty much goes with about anything.  This is also another polish that I wear when I want my nails to look sophisticated and classy. Love it!

Mademoiselle:
This polish is the perfect one for those days where you don't have the time to paint your nails, but you still want them to look good!  The color isn't very opaque, but it makes your natural nails look absolutely flawless. One coat is enough, and it dries quickly, which is super handy!

Muchi, Muchi:
This is the perfect bubble-gum pink color! I usually wear this in the spring, since it's such a nice bright pink. I've already used up half of it, that's how much I love it!

 Fiji:
I like using this color as a simple base for those days where I'm just too lazy to do my nails properly.  It's not super opaque, but it gives a nice wash of color without being too milky.

Rose
